[Capsule d’As] Can architectural quality improve the quality of care?
Architecturestudio is designing the new children’s hospital at the HUG – Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève.

Children’s hospitals are among the most complex healthcare facilities, offering many medical specialties in the same place, which poses new challenges for architects. The impact of physical environments on children’s well-being, healing and overall experience is fundamental to conveying a sense of calm, security and comfort. The aim is to provide the best possible architectural response to welcome future patients, children, our future.

We put the question to :

👉 Klara M. Posfay-Barbe, Chief Physician, General Pediatrics Department, HUG
👉 Marc Lehmann, Associate Architect, President of Architecturestudio
