[Conference] Course program on hospital architecture

[Teaching] architecturestudio is pleased to announce the launch of a course program dedicated to hospital architecture, aimed at medical students and anyone interested in the field.

The program is co-organized by the University of Paris Cité and architecturestudio.

On this occasion, Professor Roman Hossein Khonsari (PU-PH at AP-HP) will open the first module alongside Laurent-Marc Fischer, urban architect and partner at architecturestudio, who will develop the theme of hospital architecture. Grégory Azar, lecturer at ENSA Paris-Est and partner at architecturestudio, will continue with the evolution of hospital typologies: 1770-1970.

The topics of the following courses will include:

– Hospital design: who? How?

– An efficient machine: access, logistics…

– Attention to the individual,

– Architecture and urban planning of the hospital of the future.

As the modules progress, additional interventions will be made by associate architects from architecturestudio, including Rouïda Ayache, Romain Bousier, Marie-Caroline Piot, as well as architects from architecturestudio: Kolja Preuss, Claire Duclos, and health professionals such as Professor Durrbach, PUPH at AP-HP – Henri-Mondor Hospital in Créteil.

Through this initiative, our goal is to raise awareness among future healthcare professionals about the challenges of designing healthcare facilities, highlighting the importance of architecture in creating spaces that meet the needs of users and the organization of care.
