[Event] Launch of Tracé Bleu AS in China: 20 Years of Practice and Beyond

On December 14, architecturestudio presented the book Tracé Bleu 蓝图 on the occasion of the agency’s 20th anniversary in China.

The book serves both as a milestone summary of the theoretical explorations and reflections conducted in the Chinese context and as a synthesis projecting into the future.

On this occasion, we introduced the Tracé Bleu approach and its projects, which illustrate its ambitions. This was followed by an interdisciplinary roundtable titled “Living Differently,” featuring the exceptional participation of Zhang Ruyi, artist; Gao Changjun, architect and exhibition curator; You Hong, chief engineer at the Beijing Institute of Urban Planning and Design; and Jiang Jiawei, professor at the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University.

The roundtable offered an opportunity to explore the social and environmental impacts of urban transformations, the poetics of construction waste and new aesthetics, and cultural urbanism in post-industrial sites, giving full meaning to the concept of Tracé Bleu, 蓝图, which in Chinese evokes the idea of a guiding line.

Architecturestudio reaffirms its commitment in China to support urban transformation challenges with environmentally conscious solutions, working with what is already there.
