[Project] Studio 101 – Maison de la Radio et de la Musique

Architecturestudio completes the major renovation of the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique, initiated 20 years ago, with the delivery of the new Studio 101 — the largest of the creative studios.

Designed as a multimedia black box, it spans 310 m² and can host an audience of up to 100 people. The studio is intended for the production of broadcasts, performances, and audiovisual fiction, with or without video recording.

In contrast to the renovation of the auditorium, which features warm tones brought by the use of wood, Studio 101 is entirely black — from the black concrete floor to the glossy black lacquered stage grating, and the shiny black lacquered stainless steel wall panels and ceiling.

A neutral and technical setting, warmed by the “golden” oak of the access staircases from the foyer, introduces a touch of warmth into this contemporary performance space.
