“In just one week, at the end of November 2022, AI established itself as the new paradigm of this first quarter of the century. All aspects of our daily lives were going to be affected, and our professions would radically transform. Beyond slogans and incantations, it is important to carefully observe what is actually happening in reality. The task is not easy, as techniques evolve quickly; what was impossible yesterday is possible today and will be easier tomorrow. In architecture, many questions arise. They concern the creative process, project management, agency organization, and especially the very value of production. Less alarming than we might think regarding the disappearance of the profession, AI at least allows us to identify what an agency wants to define as its brand image, its skills, and its ethical guarantees. A panoramic view of the issue allows us to identify what is already available and at what cost, whether human or material, to assess the relevance of proposals in relation to processes, and most importantly, to prepare for the next phase, where AI will have become invisible because it will be omnipresent.”
