Balancing lagoon and urban park

The urban park project adjacent to the balancing lagoon in Lomé features large-scale landscape design through the juxtaposition of thematic gardens crossed by various pathways, offering residents new perceptions of the landscape and new uses.

The 20-hectare urban park is located along the balancing canal in Lomé, between the city center and the northern residential districts. The project is based on the site’s characteristics and the needs of residents in order to improve the living environment.

A second canal helps limit flood risks while structuring the landscape and defining an area conducive to urban development.

The park is made up of thematic gardens crossed by various pathways and includes cultural, educational, leisure, and sports facilities. A network of paths and footbridges ensures its connection to the city.
