At the heart of several major urban projects, the residential buildings provide a dense and strategically fragmented response to the need to balance different programmatic challenges, while harmoniously blending into the Parisian context.

Located at the corner of Balard and Cauchy streets, on the banks of the Seine, the buildings lie at the interface of several urban development projects: the waterfront project, the Beaugrenelle and Citroën-Cévennes Park project, and, more recently the Rue Balard project.
The project includes the construction of 151 housing units and associated parking spaces, a day-care centre for 70 children, company-sponsored housing units, the premises of the DPE Agriculture Ministry Directorate, the offices of the Department for Roads and Transportation of the 15th arrondissement and the Cévennes branch of France Telecom. This real estate scheme seeks to balance the supply of housing and commercial services within the rich and restrictive Parisian context.
The project integrates within the alignment of the neighbouring building profiles within a diversifying architectural approach. A two-storey base accommodating commercial services supports the main body of the building, an eight-storey high structure, imparting the feeling that the apartments are floating above on their own. The base consists of a curtain façade wall inlaid with a tilework layout of metal sunshades. The Rue Balard project, an eight-storey building, follows the Parisian architectural pattern, including a basement and two recessed top floors highlighted by stone cladding. The building’s open angle reveals its orientation towards the city and overlooks the garden at the core of the city block. The complex directs the view of the apartments towards the Seine through its large windows and running balconies. The complex provides a dense and diverse response to the capital’s architectural landscape, and offers residents and users alike acomplete range of features for maximum convenience.
